Texas bbq is a real thing and these guys do it right. Their selection of meats is top notch. They also feature 3 different sauces that are all spectacular. Great indoor and outdoor seating but be aware the lunch hour is packed. I also recommend parking on the street in front as the back parking lot is hard to maneuver and usually full. Great bbq - in the top 2 for me in the East valley - highly recommend!

Overall BBQ is pretty good. They do very well on the sides which is where most places miss the mark. The meat is very tender and juicy, even the turkey. Parking is a little complicated but manageable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall good experience.

This place is a hidden gem that delivers on all fronts! The food is absolutely amazing--definitely a great bang for your buck. The sliders are divine and packed with flavor! The service is top-notch; everyone is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. The vibes are spot on too: quiet, chill, and with a clean, cozy country atmosphere. This place is a winner, and I'll definitely be coming back multiple times! Highly recommend!

This is one of the best BBQ places I have dined at so far. Service was quick and efficient, staff were very friendly, and the area was very inviting. I was told that this place can get quite busy but I didn't wait too long around lunch time on a Saturday. I really enjoyed the brisket sample I received. My husband ordered half a rack of ribs and I ordered a sandwich. For sides we got their lemon poppyseed coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and corn casserole. Everything was very tasty! You can taste the rub and nothing seem overly seasoned or heavy handed with sauces. I have no complaints. Parking is available but can be a bit difficult to maneuver around as there is only one way in/out. There are outside and inside seating areas. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! It's on the right side of American Warehouse Furniture.

What an incredible hidden gem this place is! I only say hidden because it's tucked away in an understated spot, anyone who knows anything about BBQ knows about Caldwell. I am not a huge BBQ person. But if anyone offers to get me food, I always ask them to bring me the turkey salad and potato salad because the turkey salad is the most delicious salad ever made. Everything else is also delicious and flavorful. The staff is friendly and their outdoor seating area is so cute. The place is always clean and smells of great smoking meat. I would consider it kid friendly as the outdoor seating is mostly enclosed and there does usually tend to be some kids around. The only downside is that parking is pretty limited onsite, but there is street parking as well as a very short walk across the street to the American warehouse furniture parking lot. If you're not wanting to cook the turkey yourself for a holiday meal, Caldwell can do it for you, you'll need to order ahead!

Overall rating: 4/5 Wait: 4/5 Arrival time: Sunday 11:30am Food: 4/5 Order: brisket, coleslaw, corn casserole, banana pudding Service: n/a Price: 4/5 Worth it, would come back Caldwell County BBQ is a gem worth visiting if you're in the area. The sides were delightful, with the brisket standing toe-to-toe with Lil Miss BBQ. It's a great spot to hang out, especially during better weather. The coleslaw and corn casserole were particularly good, and the banana pudding was a sweet finish. Overall, it's a solid choice for BBQ lovers looking for a place to relax and enjoy some quality food.

Seen them on Instagram and finally got to try them today! Very limited parking but when we came it was barely packed at 12 (an hour after they opened) but lot got full quick shortly after we arrived. Super friendly and welcoming at the Gilbert location, yet have to try the Queen Creek location which is bigger with fun events onsite, where this location is small but simply well worth the visit! I loved the whole outdoor layout vibe, very cute and well kept, they even have misters! There is indoor dining area as well. We got their "Family Meal of 4" with choice of turkey, brisket and pulled pork and sides of macaroni and cheese and corn casserole. We all devoured it! We ordered 2 BBQ Salads to go home with to eat later for dinner, it was delicious!

Caldwell County BBQ 18324 E Nunneley Rd Mesa, AZ June 30,2024 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Portion size: 5/5 Visit: Came for lunch to get my favorite. Food: Ordered one Brisket Sandwich along with a side of the Mac n cheese. Service: Dine-In, Service was great and food was prepared correctly and under 10 minutes, service was also fast and Lunch only cost $16 for myself. This is by far one of the best BBQ spots in AZ, must try.

Did a little search of the area after a long hike and this place popped up. It had good reviews and they were not wrong. When we arrived, there was quite a line. Apparently the front door is basically useless because the line wraps around back. I will say the workers were incredibly fast and even though the line looked daunting, it was only about 15 to 20 minutes of a wait. I got a barbecue sandwich and a side. The barbecue was incredible. Tender pulled pork and amazing sauce options. The potato salad was good in a neutral kind of way. Nothing unique about it, but the benefit of that is that it is a certain crowd pleaser. Everything tasted really good quality. I like that they don't use frozen meat and seem a little more local oriented. There were a few vegetarian/vegan options, which I always appreciate, especially at a barbecue place. They also were creative in terms of how you ordered - you could get a plate or combine a few things. They also had some homemade desserts that looked delicious. They have a very nice story about how they came about and the passion behind the business. I appreciate the combination of Arizona and Texas and how intentional they were. Even the beers were from either Texas or Arizona and it felt nice to support local. Of course they had some basic ones as well but the diverse options they offered that were fit what we were looking for. The price is not cheap, but the food is certainly worth every penny. The outdoor seating is an absolute delight. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, and the place was super clean. They could probably use a few more bathrooms, but nobody was really left waiting too long. They run a tight ship but do a great job making you feel welcome and not rushed

Worth the 45 minute drive from Phoenix! We were in Phoenix/Scottsdale vacationing for a week. Today my wife told me no breakfast till 1100 hours. She told me to drive and I did straight hostage style! Luckily for me around 1056 hours, we pulled up to Caldwell County BBQ. What a beautiful surprise! Doors were just about to open and I could smell the amazing BBQ smoke in the air. The grounds of the Caldwell County BBQ house are very beautiful with plenty of seating. Staff was extremely kind allowing us first timers to even sample their amazing brisket. We ordered up half pound brisket, half pound turkey, half pound of pulled pork, two jalapeƱo cheddar sausages, and one amazing banana pudding. Its been said many times before me here, however from a guy who has had many many BBQs including Rodney Scott's BBQ in Charleston, South Carolina, Pit Room BBQ, in Houston,Texas, and now Caldwell County BBQ. Caldwell County BBQ is some of the best tasting BBQ you will find in America!!! After packing up my to go box I was admiring the smokers out back. A young pit master wearing a Melin hat asked my wife if we wanted to see a smoker full of briskets? Yes Absolutely! We got a quick glance at the cook craft real time. Thanks guys, we will be back!
